There is a Record in the Talmud

     "There is a record in the Talmud of a heretical sect of Jews, called Melchizedekians, who frequented Hebron to worship the body (consult the spirit?) of Adam which was buried in the cave of Machpelah.  In fact, these Melchizedekians, though considered heretics, may have been adherents of a purer undistorted form of worship."
