Plain and Precious Truth Taken Away

     Wherefore, thou seest that after the books of the Restoration hath gone forth through the hands of the great priests of the church, that there are many plain and precious things taken away from the book, which are the books of scripture of the Lamb of God.   

     "And now, Moses, my son, I will speak unto thee concerning this earth upon which thou standest; and thou shalt write the things which I shall speak.  And in a day when the children of men shall esteem my words as naught and take many of them from the book of which thou shalt write."  Moses 1:40-41

     Are we custodians of the standard works?  Are we preservers of the translations and revelations of the Restoration?  Have we become so embarrassed by the scriptures of the Restoration that we are now the very cause of their corruption, repeating the apostasy of past dispensations, by teaching against the teachings found therein?  The Restoration was needed because of corrupt priests that destroyed Christ's church in past dispensations.  Have we forgotten that?
